How Often Should I Get A Slip Test

While there are no strict guidelines for how often you should test your flooring, regular risk assessments are key to ensuring safety. Generally, it’s recommended to conduct slip tests at least once a year, but this may vary depending on factors like foot traffic, wear and tear, and contamination (such as in kitchens). High-traffic areas or surfaces prone to contamination may require more frequent testing.

According To UK Law

According to UK law, businesses have a legal duty under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 to ensure their floors are safe and not slippery, meaning they should conduct slip testing to assess the risk of slips and take necessary actions to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors; this includes ensuring floors are suitable for the type of activity taking place and are regularly checked for wear and tear, particularly in areas prone to wetness or contamination.
